THURSDAY until 2nd April,
Lent Study Group on Communion with God Through Journaling and Meditation
7.30pm – 9.30pm in the Upper Room, led by Sylvia
This course is designed to develop a deeper relationship with God. It is based on Habakkuk2: 1-2.
We will learn together that the essence of prayer is a love relationship with the King of Kings and his desire is to have a two –way dialogue with us. This course is a practical introduction to help us to do this, but an introduction only.
The topics are:
Recognising God’s voice as spontaneous thoughts Understanding that communion is the desire of God’s heart Learning how to become still before God
Looking for vison as you pray
A desire to commune with God
A notebook and a pen
Your favourite Bible or use a church one

The Life of Christ
Our church has been invited to travel in a coach with those who worship at the BART (Birling, Addington, Ryarsh and Trottis- cliffe) churches to take part in “The Life of Christ” re-enactment on the Wintershall Estate near Guildford.
This is a powerful outdoor drama, which takes you back in time to when Jesus lived on earth. We will follow the actors who will be in full costume, moving through the beautiful grounds with its lakes and ancient woodlands, from Christ’s birth to His Ascen- sion. It is all outside and there is no cover.
You need to take food and drink for the whole day and a fold up chair or something to sit on, on the ground. Some of the ground is a little uneven, and an adult buggy can be booked if necessary. It is suitable for any children over 8 years of age (if accompanied by an adult).
Adults = £20
Students (19-25 yrs) = £12
Child (3-18) = £9.50
Family ( 2 adults and 2 children) = £50.
Transport will be extra – approx. £12.50 pp.
Please tell Valerie if you are interested: she has a few leaflets.

It will be an amazing day out.
